Asphalt Grid Systems

The company installs geosynthetic composites, geogrids and geotextiles in pavement reconstruction and asphalt overlays to limit the spread of cracking and deformation and to keep water and fines out of the pavement. It sprays bond coats with its own calibrated binder distributors, using polymer modified and straight run bitumens. Crews are employed full time and are available for day or night working, and in-house plant mechanics maintain its machinery.

Products and certification

Asphalt Grid Systems is the exclusive UK supplier of TenCate Geosynthetics products, and supplies geogrids and geotextiles through its sister company Advanced Composites with UK wide next day delivery. It installs Polyfelt PGM-B 100/100 high modulus reinforcement, including basalt versions, with named installations at Flawborough and Worksop.

The company is approved under National Highways Sector Scheme 13 for the supply and application of asphalt geosynthetic and steel meshes, operates a UKAS accredited ISO 9001:2015 quality system and is a Constructionline Gold member. It holds XAIS-PTS certification under Clause 936 of the Specification for Highway Works, and says it was the first UK geogrid company to achieve this. It also offers external storage for HGVs, plant and goods on its four acre Ecclesfield site.
