BITUCHEM GROUP COMPANY OVERVIEW
The privately owned Bituchem Group have been supplying bituminous products for use on the UKs roads and footpaths for well over twenty years from their works in the Forest of Dean Gloucestershire.

The group has two separate businesses:
BITUCHEM ASPHALT LTD
Supplies coloured asphalt surface course material Natratex and Colourtex to surfacing contractors throughout the UK. Both products are delivered and laid in the same way as traditional blacktop.
However unlike blacktop or tarmac Natratex is made by mixing naturally occurring coloured aggregates with a clear binder rather than a black bitumen which results in producing a range of fully bonded surface courses that blend harmoniously with and complement the built environment.
Colourtex is more or less the same but we introduce a pigment at the mixing stage to enhance the natural colour of the aggregate to produce a range of vivid long lasting coloured surface courses which are largely used in play areas or in areas of demarcation.
Both products can be designed to meet various requirements: whether its a busy trunk road a winding parkland path or a private driveway.

BITUCHEM BUILDING PRODUCTS LTD
Manufacture supply and apply bitumen emulsions which are widely used by the highway industry and local authorities throughout the UK.
Preservative Materials: Fortseal Sealapave and Lockchip We are very proud of our new innovative products which offer the ideal solution for cash strapped councils looking to prolong the life of their existing highways without going to the expense of resurfacing.
These products are designed to seal existing and newly laid surfaces from water salt and frost; enrich existing bituminous surfaces; fill small surface voids and hairline cracks and significantly prolong the life of a paved surface.
K1-40 a cationic 40% bitumen emulsion or tack coat which is spray applied as a bond between asphalt layers.
K1-60 and K1-70 a cationic 60% and 70% bitumen emulsion. Often used when surface dressing or patching.
Hot Joint Paint Black and semi-solid in appearance it is heated and used for sealing edges of freshly laid asphalt.
Cold Seal Paint Can be poured or brush applied and is used for painting vertical joints.
Polbit is a HAPAS approved polymer bitumen and has the performance characteristics of an intermediate surface dressing emulsion.
Fortcoat is a HAPAS approved polymer bitumen and has the performance characteristics of a premium surface dressing emulsion.
Polybond is a high binder content (50 60 or 65%) polymer modified emulsion. Its designed to give greater adhesive strength between asphalt layers than a traditional tack coat.
