About Bunce (Ashbury) Ltd — Boschung Group

Boschung is a Swiss manufacturer of maintenance equipment for roads, municipalities and airports, and the bunce.co.uk address of the former Bunce (Ashbury) business now redirects to the Boschung website. The company traces its engineering back to 1947, when Marcel Boschung Senior started the business in the back room of his garage in Schmitten, Switzerland. Its headquarters is the Boschung Technology Center, opened in 2016 next to the Payerne airbase, and the company states it employs more than 160 people there and over 700 worldwide across 12 offices in 11 countries.

For highway authorities and contractors the range covers winter maintenance and road cleaning. De-icing equipment includes the IMS series of mobile spreaders, CombiWet salt spreaders, FlexiWet and FullWet liquid spreading systems, and FAST fixed automated spray technology for roads, highways and runways. Snow removal equipment includes snowploughs and the Snowbooster snow blower.

Road weather and sweeping

Boschung developed its Ice Early Warning System in 1964 and now supplies road weather information systems including r-weather, the r-condition and IT-SENS surface temperature sensors, the IT-ARCTIS active pavement sensor and the SOBO mobile road condition monitoring tool. The bVision platform manages and monitors surface conditions, and bMoves is a field service management app. The sweeper range includes the compact, fully electric Urban-Sweeper S2.0 and S2.0 MAX, an autonomous version of the Urban-Sweeper, and the Jetbroom series. The Pony P3.0 is an electric multipurpose carrier, and the company also engineers vehicle hydraulic systems and front mounting plates.
