The company provides bespoke traffic management for a range of sectors, from small lane closures and construction site access to major road construction schemes. Its work includes temporary traffic signals, road and lane closures with diversion signing, lane closure and contraflow systems, convoy working, mobile lane closures, crash cushion protection for maintenance vehicles, temporary road markings and temporary vertical concrete barrier and pedestrian barriers. It offers a 24 hour emergency response, on-site maintenance and breakdown service, and consultancy is part of every contract. Clients include local authorities, public utility companies and the police and fire services, and named work includes a major roadworks scheme on the A9 and A85.
Events and hire
Contraflow plans and manages traffic for events, and provides planning and consultancy services. Its equipment hire service supplies traffic lights, cones, barriers, road and pedestrian signs and portable variable message signs on short or long term hire, with standard or custom-made signage delivered to and collected from site for the client to set up.
The company is led by managing director John MacDonald, and displays BSI certification.
