DELTA BLOC UK Ltd. manufacture supply and install modern pre-cast and cast in-situ concrete vehicle restraint systems to the UK road construction and term maintenance market.

Each individual system is crash tested to the requirements of EN 1317-2 and is listed on the Highways Agency Accepted EN1317 Compliant Road Restraint Systems.

The DELTABLOC® range is being continually expanded to meet market needs and provides alternative barrier solutions for normal higher and very high levels of containment.

DELTA BLOC UK Ltd. is a subsidiary company of DELTA BLOC International GmbH part of the Austrian based Kirchdorfer Industries GmbH construction materials group of companies.

MABA- part of the pre-cast concrete division of Kirchdorfer Industries GmbH began developing precast safety barriers in 1985. In 1993 working with the draft of the European Standard EN 1317 Part 1 and 2 the first impact tests were preformed with manned vehicles and since 1994 with crash test dummies in remote controlled vehicles.

In 2000 DELTA BLOC Europa GmbH was founded as an independent company within the pre-cast concrete division of Kirchdorfer Industries GmbH with the goal of developing the safety barrier business.

Distribution was expanded to Germany with the help of local partners. By as early as 2002 seven partners were manufacturing the modern continuously improved DELTABLOC® vehicle restraint systems.

Today DELTA BLOC International GmbH is one of the leading developers and licensors of precast vehicle restraint systems world-wide. With more than 20 patents and development know-how from more than 100 full-scale-crash-tests has raised international awareness of DELTABLOC® high-tech concrete safety barrier systems.

In 2014 DELTABLOC® systems are being distributed in 30 countries worldwide through a network of 35 established licence partners and subsidiary companies thus providing a significant world-wide contribution to traffic safety on roads.

DELTABLOC® road safety barriers can be used in a wide range of highway applications from the permanent protection of motorway central reserves and verges to the temporary protection of road construction sites.

The DELTABLOC® temporary safety barrier range offers maximum safety and protection for both construction workers and road users. Across the UK and Europe there are more than 400km of barrier ystems currently in use!
