Overview
About Fortnum & Woolley Ltd
Fortnum and Woolley is an independently owned supplier of fabric buildings, based on George Street in Stranraer, south west Scotland. It provides Duraweave fabric building solutions in clear spans from 6 metres to 95 metres and to any length, backed by what it describes as the world's leading manufacturer of this type of structure.
Salt storage is the first application the company lists, which is the main point of interest for highway authorities and winter maintenance contractors. It also supplies fabric buildings for agricultural use, recycling operations, vehicle storage and marine applications. The company presents its independent ownership and customer service, combined with the backing of its manufacturer, as the main reasons to choose it.
Turnkey projects
The company's staff draw on construction experience to help customers through the planning process, building regulation applications and the choice of foundation options. Fortnum and Woolley says it tailors complete building solutions to each customer's needs and has delivered many turnkey projects, taking responsibility for the whole package rather than supplying the structure alone.
All of its fabric buildings are CE marked and carry a certificate of construction to EN 1090. They are manufactured using welding technology to EN ISO 3834 in a manufacturing facility that operates an ISO 9001 quality management system.
