The company works for highway maintenance authorities, surfacing contractors and construction and civil engineering firms. Its core service is cold planing of carriageways, footways, driveways, car parks and patches, supported by road sweeper, tipper lorry and water bowser hire. Sweepers are hired in from trusted suppliers, and for larger contracts the company draws on a database of hauliers.

Fleet

The planing fleet includes skid steer planers with 450mm drums, brush and bucket attachments, supplied with a six wheel roll on, roll off lorry for footpaths and driveways; half metre W50Ri deep cut planers on six wheel lorries for patching, car parks and trimming; and one metre W100Ri deep cut planers on eight wheel lorries, which can plane up to 250 tonnes in a single shift on carriageways. Specialist 100mm and 200mm drums cut to a maximum depth of 100mm for crack chasing and joint repairs, and a fine milling drum works from 0mm to 15mm for anti-skid removal and retexturing. A water bowser is supplied with a banksman trained driver.

Vehicles carry front, side and rear cameras, left turn audio alerts, side underrun bars and automatic sheeting systems to reduce dust and stone loss. Planer operatives hold NVQ Level 2 in road planing and drivers hold LGV NVQs. The company holds Constructionline Silver and SafeContractor accreditation, and has been a FORS member at Bronze level since the scheme began.
