Grass Concrete Limited

The company's main product, Grasscrete, is a cast in situ reinforced concrete paving system through which grass can grow, used for car parks, access roads and flood control. Its wider range includes Grassblock precast grass paving for medium loads and grass parking, Grassroad reinforced access surfaces for fire paths, maintenance tracks and event parking, Grasskerb edge restraint, the Grassroof modular green roofing system, and the Betoconcept range of planted and retaining walls, including Betoatlas, Betoplus, Betoflor, Betotitan and Leromur.

Grasscrete's own contracting division supplies and installs systems on UK projects, and the company provides design assistance to construction consultants from concept to completion, along with technical advice on permeable paving, cellular car park paving and green infrastructure. It says it will turn down applications where it considers a product unsuitable. Outside the UK it works through an international network of licensees and installation partners, and it can also deliver directly where no licensee is in place.

It works with architects, contractors, developers and homeowners on commercial and residential schemes. A project shown on its website is Kingsmeadow in Peebles in the Scottish Borders, where 130 square metres of Grasscrete GC3 was installed. Some installations are not publicised because they are on secure or sensitive sites.
