Highways Training Associates was established in 2001 by Doug Thomas who has over 30 years experience in the Highways industry holding a range of posts eg: Apprentice Street Mason & Paviour Highways Supervisor Highways Inspector and ultimately Civil Engineering Manager in both the public and private sector plus a long track record of construction training posts in Further & Higher Education.
Our aim is to offer a quality cost effective and responsive approach to clients training needs - hence our strap line....

Highways Training Associates are a well experienced construction training company. Our training and assessment team are all accredited by CITB/CSkills/City & Guilds to carry out on site NVQ’s.

We offer advice and guidance on funding your training through our partnership with Tyne Metropolitan College where we have a national contract to carry out site based training and assessment throughout the UK via Train to Gain funding.

Armed with this wide ranging background HTA has achieved Accredited Centre Status with City & Guilds & CSKILLS (formerly CITB) to offer our range of current qualifications to Highway Authorities MAC/DBFO/HA term maintenance contractors and Construction Civil Engineering & Utility contractors.

Furthermore we have National funding partnerships with both CSKILLS and Tyne Metropolitan College to enable National (where eligible) funding of site based NVQ's - See Eligibility & Funding for details.

As the company has grown so has our team of Associates - all specialists in their own right with relevant Highways/Civil Engineering/Construction operational and training expertise.
