About National Quality Assurance
NQA is a certification body providing certification, training and support services to help organisations improve their processes, performance and products. It has supported clients with ISO certification for more than 30 years, holds over 53,000 active certificates and operates in more than 100 countries. Its UK and European head office is at Warwick House, Houghton Hall Park, in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. In November 2024 NQA joined the Kiwa Group, a move that also brought together BM Trada's UK management system certification business, SNQA in China and Unitek Technical Services in the USA.
NQA's certification services cover ISO 9001 quality, ISO 14001 environmental, ISO 45001 health and safety, ISO 27001 information security, ISO 50001 energy, ISO 42001 artificial intelligence and ISO 20000-1 IT service management systems, together with ISO 14068 greenhouse gas management, ISO 22301 business continuity, aerospace standards in the AS9100 series, chain of custody and SSIP health and safety assessment. For construction and infrastructure it also certifies to PAS 2080, the standard for carbon management in buildings and infrastructure. The site presents its ISO standards as UKAS approved. Certification runs on a three year cycle, with surveillance audits in years one and two and a recertification audit in year three.
Training and sectors
Training is offered as e-learning and as in-house courses delivered online or face to face, covering the main management system standards, integrated management, sustainability standards such as PAS 2060 and ISO 20121, and gap analysis and readiness assessments. Sectors highlighted include construction, automotive, aerospace, information security, food and drink, and higher and further education. Clients can verify certificates through its CertCheck service and access a client area and logo library.
