Overview
About Signify
Signify, formerly Philips Lighting, is the company behind the Philips lighting brand, which it describes as its primary brand for lamps, luminaires and lighting products for professional and consumer markets. Philips products from Signify cover home, office, industry, street lighting, horticulture and sports applications, and the company also owns the Interact connected lighting brand, Color Kinetics architectural lighting and Philips Hue. Its UK site lists a business address in Guildford, Surrey.
For roads and streets the range includes the Luma gen2, DigiStreet and LumiStreet gen2 luminaires, urban post-top lanterns such as TownGuide Performer and TownTune, and solar luminaires including SunStay Pro gen2 and Luma gen2 Solar. DigiStreet is a family designed exclusively for roads and streets, built on LEDGINE optics, with a Philips Service tag to aid maintenance and Zhaga and NEMA sockets on the top and bottom so controllers or sensors can be added later without modifying the luminaire.
Connected street lighting
Interact City is Signify's connected street lighting platform, which the company says is installed in more than a thousand cities, and Telensa is a Signify brand for smart street lighting control. Its outdoor lighting management system offers central control of connected streetlights through RF mesh and cellular nodes, cabinet control and diagnostics, and an outdoor multisensor adds motion, light level, temperature and noise sensing to Zhaga-D4i ready luminaires. Software modules cover lighting asset management with map based monitoring and fault alerts, scene management, and energy optimisation through per luminaire monitoring, dimming and constant light output. Products are sold through local distributors and certified system integrators.
