About R P C Paving Solutions
RPC Paving Solutions is the paving division of Ruthin Precast Concrete Ltd, a family run manufacturer of precast concrete products based at Quarryfields in Ruthin, Denbighshire. The Ruthin works has operated for around 50 years, previously under national companies including Tarmac and Brooklyn Westbrick, and was bought by a local entrepreneur in 1997. RPC employs almost 100 people.
The business was first set up to serve the water industry, making underground chambers for valve, hydrant and meter installations, and these ranges were later developed for the gas, highways and electricity sectors. RPC then added an environmental division producing revetment products for sea defence, flood protection and river bank protection, followed in 1999 by a contracting division offering design, supply and installation, and in 2005 by RPC Paving.
Products
The paving range includes British Standard paving flags made to BS EN 1340, tactile paving for pedestrian areas, Grasscel permeable paving, fibre reinforced paving, and decorative ranges such as Brecon Black Fleck, Solo Textured, Classic Riven and Homepave. Kerbs and edgings include British Standard kerbs, decorative Brecon Black Fleck and Solo Textured kerbs, and landscaping edgings. Utility products cover chamber units and wall sections, catchpits and accessories, and indicator and marker posts.
RPC Paving sells through builders merchants rather than direct to homeowners, and delivers anything from single pallets to full articulated loads, with offloading options or customer collection. Its products have been used at Rhyl Marina and in Colwyn Bay. The company publishes ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates.
