About Retroreflective Equipment Manufacturers Association
REMA is the trade association for manufacturers of retroreflective traffic safety products which are used mainly on the highway but are also to be found for example at airports industrial sites and sports grounds. The products provide visual information day and night for both permanent and temporary traffic needs. Associate membership is available for organisations or companies providing a technical service to full members.
Founded more than 30 years ago it is the co-ordinated voice for companies involved in the ever-changing traffic safety industry. The Association has regular and ongoing contact with government (DfT and HA) standards organisations (BSI and CEN) Enforcers (Police) Users (Highways Authorities and Public Utilities).
Because of the diverse product range REMA is structured with 8 specialist subcommittees. Each subcommittee is dedicated to a particular product or group of products ensuring focussed attention expertise representation and influence where and when it is needed. Members may belong to one or more subcommittees ( see subcommittees ).
All REMA members are required by our Constitution to manufacture and supply products which conform fully to the latest Standards Regulations and legislation. A guarantee of quality.
