BUKO Traffic and Safety is a temporary traffic management company formed by bringing together Road Traffic Solutions, Hooke Highways and Keltic Traffic Management under one name. Road Traffic Solutions was founded in Scunthorpe in 2004, Hooke Highways in Somerset in 2012 and Keltic Traffic Management in Wembley in 2016. Road Traffic Solutions and Hooke Highways became part of the BUKO Group in 2024 and united as BUKO Traffic and Safety in 2025, and Keltic rebranded in 2026.
The company employs more than 300 people and works nationally from a network of regional depots. It plans, designs, installs and maintains temporary traffic management for planned works, from routine maintenance to large infrastructure schemes, for clients in telecoms, civils, lifting, utilities and construction. Its in house team produces CAD designs to Chapter 8 and TSRGD 2016 and handles permits and council liaison. A 24 hour emergency service can deploy crews nationwide within two hours of a request, covering gas, water, telecoms and highways work. Event traffic management includes road closures, signage, stewarding and barrier placement, and the businesses have supported the London 2012 Olympics, the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and the Coronation of King Charles III.
BUKO also offers equipment hire, bespoke signage, permissions, training and development, and BUKO Digital services aimed at reducing disruption for road users and residents. Clients quoted on its website include Morrison Utility Services and Glanville Environmental, and case studies cover UK Power Networks and H.W. Martin. The company is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
