About Robore
Robore, trading as Robore Cuts, is a diamond drilling, concrete cutting, controlled demolition and passive fire protection contractor headquartered in Mitcham, south London. Established in 1986, it employs more than 100 staff, and its senior management team has more than 150 years of combined experience. It works nationally and internationally for the construction industry, including civil engineering, road and rail, bridges, tunnels, water treatment works, historic buildings and infrastructure.
Its drilling and cutting services cover diamond core drilling, stitch drilling, ring sawing, floor sawing, track sawing, diamond wire sawing and concrete chasing. Controlled demolition work includes concrete breaking, bursting and crunching, traditional and soft strip demolition, and cut and carve demolition. The company states it operates the largest fleet of Brokk remote controlled demolition robots in Europe, supported by an in-house workshop, and also hires out plant. Its passive fire protection work covers firestopping, penetration sealing, cavity barriers, fire doors and structural steel protection.
Projects
Case studies on the site include cutting and removing more than 4,000 tonnes of reinforced concrete to form a 30m opening through the Dunkirk Jetty at Dover Docks for diverted marine traffic, and works for the Crossrail passenger link at Paddington Station.
Robore holds ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, audited by Alcumus ISOQAR, and CQMS certification. It is CHAS accredited, holds RISQS and Building Confidence 5 star ratings and UVDB Verify Category B2 status, and holds Acclaim and Safemark accreditation and FORS. It is a member of the Drilling and Sawing Association, Constructing Better Health and RoSPA.
