On the groundworks side, Shaw installs sewage treatment plants, pumping stations and interceptors, and carries out drainage installations, slurry lagoons, ditching, earthworks and excavations for industrial, commercial, agricultural and domestic schemes. It uses its own plant, operated by its own CPCS and CSCS carded operatives, and carries out site assessments before providing a written quotation. Site clearance and the supply of materials such as hardcore and topsoil are handled in-house, and the company can provide risk assessments and method statements.

The agricultural contracting side covers forage harvesting of grass silage, maize and wholecrop, mowing, tedding and raking, carting and buckraking, clamp rolling, ploughing, sub-soiling and general cultivations.
