Virtus Traffic Management Solutions

Its design team produces 2D and 3D multi-aspect temporary traffic management designs, and the company holds BIM Level 2 certification from BSI under ISO 19650. Delivery services cover planning, support and on-site management, and Virtus also provides Traffic Safety and Control Officer (TSCO) managed services. Sister company Alliance TM, launched with its own depot in 2020, provides temporary traffic management support across the UK.

Projects

Schemes named on the website include the A63 Castle Street improvement in Hull for Balfour Beatty, where Virtus prepared traffic management phasing and contributed to Highways England development consent work, and the M60 Manchester Smart Motorways project, for which it received a Highly Commended award from Highways England. The company has also supported Taylor Woodrow on Nottingham Express Transit Phase 2 and planned the Games Lanes road marking programme on the London 2012 Olympic Route Network for WJ Roadmarkings, covering more than 128km of markings.

Virtus was one of the first SMEs to take part in a Highways England Lean Maturity Assessment. It holds ISO 45001 and became an associate member of the Traffic Management Contractors Association in 2020. The company won Best Overall at the Mates in Mind Impact Awards in 2021.
