Wirtgen Limited is the Great Britain sales and service company of the Wirtgen Group, an international group of construction equipment manufacturers whose brands cover the whole road construction process: processing, mixing, paving, compacting and rehabilitation. The UK business is based at Wirtgen Group House on Overfield Park, Godfrey Drive in Newark, Nottinghamshire, with sales managers covering the North, Central and South West, London and the South East, and Scotland.
The product range sold and supported in Britain includes Wirtgen cold milling machines, cold recyclers and stabilisers, binding agent spreaders and slipform pavers; Vögele road pavers, screeds and the PowerFeeder; Hamm tandem rollers, pneumatic tyre rollers and soil compactors; Kleemann mobile jaw, cone and impact crushers, screening plants and stackers; Benninghoven asphalt mixing plants and retrofits; the Ciber wheel mounted continuous asphalt mixing plant; and John Deere motor graders and wheel loaders.
Parts, service and support
Alongside new machines and plants, Wirtgen Limited sells used equipment and offers financing solutions. The UK team includes spare parts sales managers for the different brands and for cutting tools, and customers can order parts through the group's online parts shop. The company provides an out of hours emergency line through its main office number, annual machine inspections, and digital solutions for road construction, including connected support and telematics.
Operator and maintenance training is available on site, at the UK base or at the brands' headquarters, and customised courses can be arranged. The group also publishes hands-on manuals explaining the technology behind each brand. Wirtgen Group machines are used in earthworks, road construction, materials processing, mining, racetrack and airport construction.
